About Us

Named for two people who decided to start with who was in front of them.

The Initiative carries the names of its founders because this work has always been personal: not a program run at a distance, but families walked alongside, one household at a time.

Our Story

Dipo & Florence

The Dipo and Florence Fisho Initiative exists to lift families out of hardship and put children back where they belong: in school, fed, and full of possibility. It works where need is greatest, with a special commitment to the girl child.

What began as help offered to a handful of families close to home grew into a standing commitment: to walk alongside households facing hunger, to keep children, especially girls, in the classroom, and to mentor young people toward opportunity they can build on themselves.

Our Mission

Empower, feed, and educate families facing hardship

We put food on the table, return children to the classroom, and equip young people and families with the skills, counsel, and opportunity to rise on their own terms.

Our Vision

A community where no child's future is decided by hunger

A future where every child, especially every girl, has a seat in the classroom, a full table at home, and a mentor in her corner.

How We Show Up

Compassionate, never pitying. Hopeful, always grounded.

The people we walk alongside are partners in their own rise, never objects of charity. That shapes everything from how we speak to how we show up at a family's door.

Dignity First

We call the people we serve partners, not beneficiaries. We write and speak about them as we would want to be written about.

Hope With Proof

Every hopeful claim comes with something concrete: a number of children enrolled, families fed, mentors matched.

Plain Words

Short sentences. Everyday language. If it wouldn't make sense to someone's grandmother, we rewrite it.
